We are sometimes asked by friends or family members to describe or explain the Unity movement. This can be tricky, because even if we have a good feel for what Unity represents, and even if we are familiar with Unity’s five basic principles, we may not be clear about where Unity fits among other churches and spiritual groups.
We may have heard that Unity is part of the New Thought movement. Is this the same as the New Age? What are the similarities and the differences? Is Unity a Christian denomination?
Our Sunday lesson on October 25 is about New Thought and the New Age. We will look at the history of New Thought and some of the basic beliefs. This lesson will be especially informative for newcomers to Unity.
