Rev. Carolyn Warnemuende, Guest Speaker. Developing an art takes commitment, time, and a willingness to practice until the skill is fully integrated. The art of surrender means consciously giving up our perceived sense of control so that we fully live with presence and the peace that comes from letting go and letting God. When we surrender, we “let it be” without resistance. Like an artist or an athlete who constantly strive to reach their highest potential, we, too, exercise the art of surrender as part of our daily spiritual practice. Each time we let go and let be, we experience freedom from the chains that bind us.
