"Quimby's Wild Ride" Sunday Service

Sylvan Community Center, 7521 Community Drive, Citrus Heights

From its inception, Unity has been called a Metaphysical Healing Movement. Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of the Unity movement, found a cure for her lifelong ailment of tuberculosis while studying the new ideas about healing first developed by Phineas Parkhurst Quimby. This Sunday at 10 AM, Lisa Lawson, our Licensed Unity Teacher, shares the story of Phineas Quimby’s discovery and exploration of mind cure and how it catalyzed the movement we know as New Thought, and how we can still use these powerful ideas in our lives today.

Lisa will be joined by her husband, Michael Lawson, as guest musician. The Lawsons are well known in the Sacramento area for performing together not only in inspirational music, but also in their family Celtic music band Lady of the Lake and as founders and leaders of Sacramento Baroque Soloists. This Sunday Michael will lead singing with Lisa and also provide music with his cello. Sunday Service is in person at Sylvan Community Center but may also be joined live on Zoom (Use JOIN SERVICE link on our home page unitycitrusheights.org) or on Facebook.
